When Tyrone bought his Hurst, he was actually looking to sell it or trade it for a regular Jeepster to build up, but had no takers. Tyrone is the 3rd owner and has the original T14a manual transmission, but is planning to swap in a SM420. He is building it up for off-road duty and has already done a SOA with 33" tires and a tru-trac locker, he added headers, a winch, new seats, new steering wheel, F&R bumpers and is currently building rocker guards. He has the hood scoop, but no tachometer. He plans to redo the rally striping and just enjoy wheeling it. Tyrone notes that he is keeping all of the original parts in case a future owner wants to turn it back into an original.
