Randy's Page

I finally got around to getting a picture of Randy's Hurst.  Thanks for the picture Randy, I look forward to hearing more from you.

Randy's story on becoming a "Hurst" Jeepster owner:

I have always wanted an early Ford Bronco (66-77) but have been unable to find one I can afford in the condition I require.  Thus, one Sunday while I was returning from having the steering knuckle welded on my '74 Ford F100, I spied an interesting looking jeep at a small used car lot off I-20 in Aiken SC.  This jeep turned out to be a '72 Commando which I called about and bought the next day.  Shortly thereafter, a friend mentioned seeing another Commando for sale in the local "Iwanta" adds in nearby Augusta, GA.  When I went to look at it, I got excited since it had the "Hurst" emblems and tack that I knew was quite rare from my limited research and bought it.  It's missing the luggage rack (has holes) and the engine is stuck (from examining with the pan off it doesn't seem anything is broken).  So that's where I am today.
